Opponents of Egat's listing cheer following court's injunction; civic group plan to fight for delisting of PTT and Mcot if they win the case.
The Administrative Court Tuesday issued an injunction against the planned initial public offering (IPO) of Egat shares pending trial of the lawsuit against the privatisation plan.

Court halts EGAT's plan to offer shares to the public
The Administrative Court Tuesday halted the initial public offering (IPO) of Egat shares, scheduled to be booked on November 16-17, pending trial of the lawsuit against the privatisation plan.
The court reasoned that the suspension would not affect the operations of Egat and the stock market as claimed by the government.

Update: Court postpones Egat stock issue (reaction)
The Supreme Administrative Court temporarily suspended plans to partially privatise the state-owned electricity authority tomorrow, halting the public issue of 16 per cent of the company's equity valued at 34.9 billion baht.
